PHOTO HIGHLIGHTS
Antifragile Zine is an media platform, artist collective, and independent magazine created by and for youth artists. We exist online, in-print, and in-person, but above all — we are a COMMUNITY.
We provide the opportunity for marginalized youth artists, especially those who have felt unseen in mainstream media, or those who identify as LGBT+ and women and non-binary people of color, a safe space to connect, grow, and develop their creative aspirations.
We believe that by bringing together youth, art, and community, we can catalyze radical change.
Inspired by our mission, I originally joined Antifragile Zine as an Event Photographer and quickly worked my way up to the Event Coordinator and eventually, Lead Editor. The last few years of my life, I have lived and breathed Antifragile. I (alongside the Editor-in-Chief) oversee the entire publication, manage our executive team, and collaborate with 40+ of our external team members. I plan, host, and facilitate various inclusive, community-building events that have had up to 250+ attendees. In the production of our fourth print issue, Anachronism, my role as lead editor deepened. I developed and managed our production schedule, curated content, ensured all of our production aligned with our brand’s values, designed layout spreads, built/designed the set for our cover shoot, and more.
